On the morning of June 9th, the thesis defense for a PhD candidate was held in the Ganzhou Campus of JXUST. With the topic of Effect of RE element addition on the magnetic properties of nano-crystalline Nd - Fe - B and evaluation of service characteristics, the thesis introduces the effects of element addition on the alloy’s magnetic properties and temperature stability, as well as the service characteristics of high pressure accelerated corrosion and cyclic thermal shock.
The PhD candidate then answered the questions raised by the members of the examination committee, which are composed by the leading scholars of rare earth engineering.
The Ph. D program in the field of Development and Utilization of Ionic Rare Earth Resources was accredited by the Ministry of Education as a key program in 2013.
